Finally the day has come....

Hi All,

Finally the unexpected happened today early hours i.e., Wednesday 29th September 2010.
This morning Ashima woke up from bed and as her daily routine she said good morning to her beloved Nemo... Butttttttttttt Nemo did not respond and it started drowning and reached the end of the bowl. Ashima did try to give mouth-mouth respiration but it did not respond, as it was very small it was getting in to Ashima's mouth completely and with the fear of eating it Ashima decided to let it move away.

Today "Nemo" is no longer with us in this world and Ashima did try to complete the ceremony as per Hindu standards (i.e., Burning( in one way roasiting it) Nemo)... As the response was poor she did it as per the other religion standards...

May your soul RIP "NEMO".... God Bless you.

0128820 - March 22 to August 27, 2010

  It all started on March 22 2010 (Month Day Year :P ) which was my first day in Thomson Reuters :). U see a smile after Thomson Reuters but there was quite opposite expression on my face for the first two weeks. The atmosphere was not so great when I went to the floor after my initial induction programme. During the induction programme I came to know that my Sr.Manager has joined the company with me which made me exciting (dont know for what reason, but I was excited :D ).

   Missed my cognizant friends a lot for the first week and there were at times when I thought that my decision to join Thomson Reuters would not have been the right one. But as the English proverb goes "There's always a calm before a storm.", there was a storm of enjoyment in workplace when I got to know more about the team and the team members. Had fun time with Maama, Don and Bill. Breaks with Hari were quite refreshing, got to know some success stories, learned not to loose hope when things don't turn ur way. Had a blast at the annual day celebration at Taj Banjara where maama and me got crazy on the disco floor and after watching those videos they named me as jumping jack!

  Learned more about the team during meetings/status calls. I still remember how Ritu, Hari, Bill and Maam made up a scene that don is gonna get married in the call with Sankar and we had a hearty laugh :). Weeks passed by and the team started to expand. With Neil, Himashu, Haripriya, Sridhar and Koti joining the team , it reached its limit. One day during the tea break, we decided to form a committee (Neil, Bill & Jobs) and took some important decisions (well those decisions are not to be revealed :P). Enjoyed teasing Ritu & Roopa by adding 'aunty' as a suffix.

  Had many gossip sessions in the evenings and got some really good friends in cab and in other teams. Time passed by and then decided to pursue my Masters in CS from Utah State Univ. It all happened in a  very short span time :-/. Those two weeks were quite tensed. 

  Though I was quite excited to pursue my higher studies, I was not at all ready to quit the team on the last day. Had many wonderful memories over a short span of time with really good friends. I will be missing those Feel Like God ride on my Unicorn while returning home at 11:30 pm, eating ice-cream at 12:00 am with cab-mates, chatting with teammates, hanging out with Hari, koti, Sridhar for evening/late-evening snacks, gossip sessions with Don, Maama, Neil & Bill, hiding and applying cake more than twice to the birthday babies, fighting and teasing over the records at basement 2 after the log-out, stories with perfect screenplay by Neil... and the list goes on and on....

   I never regret for switching from Cognizant to Thomson Reuters because It gave me an opportunity to work with a Great Team, lead by a very special Manager.

   I miss U guys... I miss all the fun that we had :(. I will make sure that I will make time to blog and definitely be in touch with u all.

Right Now! At This Very Moment

Hmm its been long time since I wrote a post.... phewww days fly by and we hardly know what change it has brought in our lifes....

Right now we (committee members) teased Chota Don for forgetting her mobile somewhere. Hope the mobile is safe somewhere :). Maama is busy listening to songs and working seriously as if he is gonna save this world from the alian attack as in Independence Day!!!

Yes Independence Day remind me of the Independence Day that we will be celebrating in another couple of days :) but that would be the last Independent Independence Day for Maama as he is getting married the very week :D.

Maama has been awarded with a "Star Performer" and we are yet to get a treat from him for that... as a matter of fact that was the one millionth two hundered thousand four hundered sixty ninth party pending from Maama... ufff donno when he will give us all those parties/treats :D

Neil is busy developing screens in silverlight as usual and Bill is working on the report and talking with don about her phone :D

All Izz Not Well....

Yesterday was a hectic day.... got up early in the morning and started my day with workout for about an hr. Had terrible body pains and attended Silverlight training in office from 9-7. I was so tired that for the first time I slept in the office cab while going home :-o. Reached home by 9 (yes it nearly takes 1Hr 30min in the evening to reach my place). 

As my body was not cooperating with me to stay late, I was asleep by 10:30pm... I forgot to turn on the alarm and I suddenly woke up and saw my phone.... It was 5:05am... got up with the same terrible body pains and saw that it was still raining.... Then the inner Doctor in me reminded me that I had symptoms of getting High Temperature and on top of that the rain forced me to get back to bed.... I had to bunk Gym on the fifth day :P

 

It is true........

...It is dark all over and there was a light coming up slowly out of the darkness then noticed something very strange surrounding ... It looks like a closed room with an open top and very big walls similar to a prison... Shivers coming all the way and tensed a bit about the situation...

Think of the devil and the devil is here i.e., a person with long boots, dark grey colored Jacket and carrying an untidy look with a whip in his hand.... When keenly observed the side he is coming noticed four different items (probably weapons) hanging on the wall behind him which gives him a look as if he was the master of them....Closer he is coming brings up shiver in spine with the fear of happening....
 
Now hearing a voice crying out loudly besides the ferocious dogs barking and giving a feel as if the long-awaited purpose and freedom is just a few steps away from them... Another man came running with a paper in his hand and handed it over to the man with the whip .... Few ppl are gearing up for the race of punishing with the most cruel way.... Can now see the weapons behind him clearly and it looks like they all had enough bath in the red colored liquid material......Man was walking slowly along with the whip hitting hard on the floor and coming closer......Suddenly a big HIT on me and my ears are becoming numb why?????????.....

Eyes opened and realized i was in my room sleeping, my mobile trying its level best to wake me up from the bed as it was the time for my swimming..... Both my roommate brothers r sleeping tight which made me feel envious, also with fear of being defeated in the race of the number of hours we sleep I am back to bed switching off my mobile so that it would not disturb my super SCI-FI dream again (if it continues)......

For a while now.......

... its been a while i am out of blogging for various reasons and one important reason is being slothful so i just thought "don't be a couch potato get up and get a life :)"...

Many pestered me for taking such a decision in coming back to India rejecting a good offer (althou nt very good :) ) and very sexy and attractive H1 Visa... My family supported me with the decision and I am very happy about it......Although i had soooo many discussions on the same and rarely these discussions ended in a concord.... One among the many reasons i had taken a decision to come back is the passion towards the work and technology.... After soo many months with the same kind of work i felt monotonous and thought this is the time for a change and the first step towards my interest....

HIGH spirits, Egotist feeling for some time :), comparing everything with another one there behind the oceans, feeling unhygenic at times, health problems, food poisioning, HOT Summer etc etc and after all of this for over a month i am back to my basics :).... Back to Satyam office but everything changed and worked in few projects temporarily but one thing tat is running thou my mind was the reason I am here.... Started attending project calls in Satyam, client interviews but nthing interested me and then out for a job hunt, which as per me is the first ever job hunt in my life (as Satyam was a campus placement)......

Back from the flashback I am here (in hyd) working as Sr. Software Engineer in Thomson Reuters and just loving the team i am working with as it gives me the same feeling I had with a team when i started my career....  Love the team, energy levels, sportive nature, with zero team conflicts, gossip sessions, core committe meetings, our nick names, inserting records in to our personal database ;-)....

On the whole WE ROCK and all those around us feel "ALL IZZ HELL" when this team is around... on a lite note :-)

3 Is Committee 5 Is Crowd

Yup 3 is a committee and we are three (in fact 4 of us) who decided to start this blog :P. U might be wondering why the HELL did I write 4 in the braces... well, find out more on that in our future posts ;-)....

By the way 3 members of the committee are Inderjeet, Hemanth and Me(The God) :D... while now at this point u might be wondering why the HELL I forgot to mention about the other two in the crowd... hmmm enough suspense :P the other two who make the crowd are Ashima and Santosh....

Yes way to go :) look out for more fun :D
